We did it!

Thank you for your support, your volunteering, and your vote. The statewide parks and natural resources bond, Proposition 68, passed! Election results show that it won with about 56% of the vote statewide, and that total may increase as more ballots are counted over the next few days.

Californians have spoken. Prop 68 will invest 4.1 billion dollars in protecting our parks, water, and natural areas. The Los Angeles area will receive over 140 million dollars–a major investment in our parks and natural resources, and be eligible for up to 2 billion dollars in competitive grants. We’ll keep you updated as this process unfolds.

Vote Vote Vote!

Today is Election Day! Polls close at 8pm, please be sure and get out to vote today. Polling shows it’s going to be close, and we NEED your Yes vote! If you’re in line before polls close, you will be allowed to vote. Not sure where to vote? Find your polling place here (LA County) https://lavote.net/locator/ or call the toll-free Voter Hotline for help at (800) 345-8683.

Now’s the time to make your voice heard on the future of California’s water and natural resources. Prop 68 is a chance for Californians to step up and protect what matters to us, like safe parks and clean water. A YES on Prop 68 will invest 4.1 billion dollars in protecting our parks, water, and natural areas to prepare for the impacts of climate change.

Join us on Twitter one more time Monday morning!

Non-profits and individuals across California will be taking over Twitter on Monday morning (June 4) at 10am one more time, to talk about Prop 68 and what it will mean for our parks and natural resources. This election will be close, and we need your help to get out the vote. Our goal with the Twitter party is to create a publicly visible discussion about Proposition 68, extend our reach among voters and spread awareness before Election Day on Tuesday. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals and organizations to engage and inform voters across the state within a 1-hour timeframe and potentially help us “trend” on Twitter!
