This Sunday, April 22, is Earth Day. It’s a day for us to celebrate our beautiful planet, and fight to preserve it for future generations. There will be events across the county for you to attend, but please don’t forget to do your part for California’s parks and open spaces — vote Yes on 68 on the June 5th ballot.

This statewide ballot measure will produce a $4 billion investment in the coming years to protect California’s own unique natural resources and ensure every Californian has access to safe parks and clean drinking water. The Los Angeles area would receive over 140 million dollars directly, and be eligible for 2 billion dollars for our parks and natural resources through competitive grant programs.

How can you show your support? Join us on Twitter for 2 statewide “Twitter Parties” from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. on May 2nd & May 9th. Non-profits and people from all over the state will post and reply to one another’s questions and share about why they support Prop 68. Follow us on Twitter, @OurParksLA, to join in on the fun, and share and retweet to your friends and family.
